Located
along 12 km of coastline of the city
of Chennai along the Bay of Bengal,
India, Marina Beach belongs to the
Indian Ocean. The beach has no characteristics
of its Western counterparts. Unlike
short-rock formations in the Juhu
Beach, west of the coastal region
of India, the basic texture of the
Marina beach sand is more than anything
else. Marina Beach is considered one
of the longest beach by the local
population. The Beach has extensive
regions within it. Marina Beach generally
degrees of Fort St. George, in northern
Besant Nagar in the south, a distance
of about 12km.

beach areas is a characteristic of
the Marina Beach. These statues are

nests along the Neelangarai section

aquarium on the Marina Beach.

tsunami that followed a massive earthquake
in the year 2004, which has caused
enormous losses of lives and property.
