Canoeing

 
Canoeing is a paddling a canoe which is a small boat close to recreation, sport or for transportation. In a generally canoe paddle driving a boat with human energy is used. Canoeing is different from kayak, a boat uses the racket with two blades where the paddler sits with legs forward. Usually kayaks are decked vessels closed with a spraydeck, while boats are generally open boats. Technically, a kayak is seen as a particular type of canoe.

The term is internationally canoe is used as a generic term for both forms of paddle sport or canoeing . In the modern sport of canoe both the canoes and kayaks are closely bridged. Generally, it becomes difficult to differentiate the two. Most often, the difference between the two is that competition is always seated kayaks and canoe with a double-bladed paddle, canoes and competition are generally kneeled and canoe with a single propeller paddle. The sport of canoe is organized by different organizations and federations. The International Canoe Federation is the World Wide canoeing organization, and it prepares the terms of reference for the various disciplines of canoe-kayak competition.

The International Canoe Federation makes various competitive and non-competitive disciplines including Sprint canoe and slalom are the only two competitors in the Olympic Games. There are various national and international canoeing competition organized some of which are discussed below:
