There are six union territories in

beaches in the country. A union territory
means that it is a sub-territory national
who falls under the direct supervision
of the central government of India.

Governor of each territory is appointed
by the President of India.

beaches in India such as Goa and Kerela.
These beaches are less known because
they are outside the continent and
bound only to major cities on the
coast states. Each offers a unique
flavour and taste of Indian beaches.
Thus, while the Andaman and Nicobar
islands are known as the emerald of
the Indian Ocean islands of Lakshadweep
boasts some famous tourist destinations
such as Kavaratti, Agatti, Amini and
Minicoy. The beaches isolated islands
of Lakshadweep offers some places
perfect for fishing, sailing, snorkeling
and scuba diving. Tourism is a major
industry in these islands. Andaman
and Nicobar islands are on the other
hand represent not only the tribal

to visit.
Puducherry, in addition
to holding renowned for southern India,
boasts of some very good beaches.
With a distinct French influence still
booming in the local culture, Puducherry
beach is the most popular tourist
sites, while in Kerela. Daman and
Diu, on the other hand, is located
between the Arabian Sea and the state
of Gujarat. With a touch of the Portuguese
culture, Daman and Diu is best known
for its color gujarati culture, migratory
birds flock to the region and the
beautiful beach Nagoa. Fishing and
tourism are two major trades here.
