The
beaches of Daman and Diu offer some
of the world-class beach destinations
in India. Located at the southern
border of Gujarat, Daman and Diu districts
are located off the Saurashtra region.
Daman and Diu are only an hour 's
plane from Mumbai and is well served
by roads as well. The beaches of Daman
and Diu offers some of the most beautiful
beaches in the world. The golden beaches
lined with palm trees and the rich
blue Arabian Sea, offers a picturesque
beauty much not easily forget. The
beaches of Daman and Diu are a popular
destination throughout the year, not
only for neighbouring states of Gujarat
and Maharashtra, but across the country
and even abroad.
The remains of the
Portuguese culture are still visible
on monuments and churches lying on

beaches of Daman are Devka Beach,
Nani Daman and Jampore beach. Although
Devka beach boasts a popular amusement
park and water activities, Jampore
beach offers endless miles of beaches,
especially during low tides. The latter
is most suitable for swimming because
of its fresh water. Diu cut off from
the mainland Gujarat and connected
with India by a narrow canal to the
north, offers some of the most popular
beaches. The two kilometer stretch
of beach Nagoa not only offers some
privacy and isolation, but the golden
beaches of the palm-fringed coast
is the ideal getaway for tourists
worldwide. Among the other beaches
are Diu Chakratirth beach, Gomatimala,
Goghla, Vanakbhara beach and Kevdi
beach.
